From trust to growth: How CSMs Expand Revenue without a sales pitch
Customer Success managers are increasingly expected to drive growth, but many teams still struggle with how to do that without sounding overly sales-led. In this session, Laura will share how CSMs can turn trusted customer conversations into natural expansion opportunities by uncovering pain points, asking the right questions, and positioning additional solutions in a way that feels helpful rather than transactional. Using practical examples, she’ll show how revenue growth can come through strong relationships, discovery, and confidence in the conversation. Key takeaways: - How CSMs can approach growth as part of customer support, not a separate sales motion - Ways to build trust that create space for expansion conversations - Questions and conversation techniques that uncover customer pain points - How to reframe difficult moments, like pricing pushback, into growth opportunities - Practical guidance for helping CSMs feel more confident in revenue-focused discussions
