From ticket to resolution: How AI agents are redefining what fast support looks like
AI has made a fast first response easy. Making support feel fast to the customer is something entirely different. A customer can move from the help center to a chatbot to a support agent to a specialist, and every team can hit its target while the customer repeats their story at each step. If every dashboard is green and the customer is still waiting, what does fast actually mean? This session redefines speed in AI-powered support around the work the customer has to do, not the time to first reply. It covers how to measure effort across the whole journey, why AI agents should reason through a problem before they try to resolve it, and how to hand over to a human without the customer ever starting over. Through one customer's story traced across every layer of support, it introduces practical frameworks for measuring customer effort, structuring AI-to-human handoffs, and running AI agents with the observability, manageability and governance that let you give them more autonomy safely. Key takeaways: → Why deflection, handle time and first response time can all look healthy while the customer's experience gets worse → How to measure the work you ask of customers across the whole journey, and how AI agents can hand over with full context and a clear level of confidence → How observability, manageability and governance let you widen AI autonomy safely, and roll it back quickly
