Panel | Built to lead: Structuring the CCO function and driving cross-functional impact
For many customer executives, the role isn't handed over fully formed. It has to be built. Whether you're the first Chief Customer Officer in your organization or stepping into an established seat, success depends on two things: a clearly defined function that shows the strategic value of customer-centricity, and the influence to shape outcomes across a business where every team affects the customer. In this panel, experienced customer leaders share how they've defined their remit and kept their team from becoming a catch-all. They also cover how they've built strong partnerships with Sales, Product, Marketing and Finance, and how they've positioned Customer Success as a driver of growth, retention and long-term revenue. Key takeaways: - How to set clear objectives, ownership and success metrics for your customer organization, and turn them into shared, customer-centric goals across departments. - Strategies for positioning Customer Success as a strategic growth function rather than a cost center. - Practical ways to manage stakeholder expectations and prevent role creep while building strong partnerships with key functions. - Lessons on building credibility across the C-suite and influencing executive decisions without direct ownership. - How to embed customer-centricity into company-wide strategy and operations so it lasts.
